Thanks, Jason. So far, I understand that it is standard down here, so it's good. It just different from Massachusetts, we just have to get accustomed to Texas ;)

Yes, we are planning to go to several of the meet up. You're right. Nothing better than face to face discussion ;)

Thank you for all of your inputs. I'll study the TREC contract more and get myself familiar with it:)

Hi all!

My name is Nina. My husband and I just moved to Austin from the Northeast. I have lots of questions for the Bigger Pocket Community. Thanks in advance for helping!

We're planning to switch to wholesaling full time when we move. We used to use the simple 2 pages purchase / assignment contracts; However, when we talked to one of the RE Attorney in town, they said the purchase contract is not comprehensive enough and recommended us to use the TREC contract, which is WAY too complicated for us and probably confused and scared the seller also. One of our buyers also told us he likes the TREC contract better. Any recommendation on which type of contract to use, and if we use the TREC contract, is there any item you would modified (especially #24 consulting an attorney before signing, pg 9. pg 10 information of broker, and receipt).

Also, is there any recommendation on meetup group for networking, title company, and RE Attorney?

Once again, thanks!
