I was looking into buy and hold/rent and possibly doing a couple flips to get more cash flow to get more properties.  Not sure if that's the best route to go? Also, been trying to read up more on house hacking on the side as well.  Any specific links or threads/post on bigger pockets you would recommend?

I was in a search for house hacking guides/tips/advice just like you. Here are some that I had found:

Blog Posts:

Also, just search "house hacking" on Google and you will find an abundance of guides/tips/tricks/etc. from various RE sites.

This is a great addition. Provides another opportunity to Network with like-minded folks and to get some insight through discussions about the area.

Hopefully there are enough BP members per area to keep each respective sub-forum relatively active. It would be a shame to see 'dead' sub-forums due to the lack of BP members living and/or investing in it's designated area.

Wow. I wish I had caught drift of this as it was about to occur. I'm from Lima - out by the reservoirs in Elida. Would have loved to come and meet all of you, hear some stories, receive tips and advice from the seasoned vet's, etc.

Milano is a nice place too. Good choice.

Until next time.

Niko - I live close to Allentown Eastown interesection. Sounds like we are a mile apart. Welcome to BP Nation. Look me up. Let's have lunch!

You're right lol. I'm actually through that intersection daily. I'm glad I found BP before I began my RE journey. But yes, I will look you up; lunch does sound good and I'm sure you could give me a bit of insight on the RE world as a seasoned vet yourself.

Until then, take care brother.

I used the 'search' function to only search through the forums on my iPhone and it just brought up some posts. However, once I got on my laptop and searched, I found what I was looking for on other parts of the site. Also from Google.

 Here are a few brother:

Search "house hack real estate" on Google and there are plenty of articles/blogs/posts/etc on various real estate based websites.

Found one. Is there a way this topic/post can be deleted?

I have looked through various categories of this forum and used the search feature as well only to find people asking for help on their house hacking adventures and sharing some of their stories. They were nice to read and gave me some insight.

However, I would have thought there would have been a guide of some sort, a how-to full of tips and advice from the seasoned veterans because I see that this type of real estate investing is popular.

Does what I'm looking for exist on BP or is there some place else that has what I'm interested in?

I do not plan to pull a trigger on this until Speing/Summer 2016... So I'm using all the time I have until then to research and learn as much as I can to be as prepared as I can.

Thanks,

Niko
