Hi Shawn, thanks for the reply, and for the guidance on posts. I'm pretty new to this, so forgive me if i leave out any pertinent information.
I lived in springfield for a bit, and it'd be nice to invest in an area where there's family. I'm looking to buy and hold. I have a brother who is willing to manage the properties since I live out of state. I'm interested specifically in gov't assitance housing ( section 8 ) rentals. I'm hoping to have 30 or so within the next 5 years ( likely a farfecthed goal but hey, dream big right? )
Why do you say IL is challenging?
