Anyone on here in Winnipeg interested in meeting up to chat about multifamily / apartment investing?  

I've got a couple 24 unit apartments and an 8 unit currently in devleopment, as well as a 31 unit, and a new development 19 unit targeting age 55+.

Hi all, what are your top 3 recommendations on books regarding development? Something that gives a general overview of how it works, the A - Z.  General technical information.  If it has to be specific, then regarding the multiunit niche, office or mixed use buildings.

@Marc C. Lot of great points and great information you've just said there Marc, really appreciate the detailed feedback! The LOI is a great idea, I haven't been doing that but should incorporate that strategy for sure as well as providing more than 1 option in the LOI and stating the benefits of the seller with each option.

I agree with all the points you've made on this particular deal, having said that it's definitely a no-go for me.  Going to stick with my smaller/medium plexes for now as these get great returns in the area I'm currently investing in.  Perhaps I will look at the larger blocks in other areas in the future.

Yeah pretty hard since I've been wanting to get my hands on a bigger building like this for a while!  I will just have to look outside my city as apts not looking good here (this being the best one out there at the moment) lol you guys should see the numbers on the rest of em!! :)
