Hey there.
I am right now in Colombia. 3 months ago, I was looking at the roof of my flat in Dubai. I got fired. I tried to figure out how to deal with the current situation. However, I wasn't feeling so bad at all. Actually, I thought, it was an opportunity to get rid of my deepest doubts and fears about how to invest my money. Suddenly, a Colombian embassy's call changed everything.
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am always looking for opportunities to get some extra money. I had invested in some business before but I never reinvested it. Some years ago I decided to save up money, as much as possible, more than 10% of Kiyosaky's suggest, by the way. While I save up, I read as much as possible about real estate even if I had no idea what I suppose to do it. I knew BIGGERPODCAST, a piece of heaven! Podcats help me to make up my mind. Real Estate was everything I was looking for! I spent everything that I save up to live abroad. Next country: Dubai. It was great but... WITH THE MONEY THAT I SPENT IN AN ENGLISH COURSE I WOULD HAVE STARTED MY FIRST REAL ESTATE INVEST. Never mind, anyway. Great experience!
When I went back to Colombia (3 months ago), I decided to make my dreams real. I think, Colombia's got a potential Tourism market and therefore a good potential Real Estate Investment. I've read some ideas about how to invest in Colombia. However, some of them are so tricky to get because everyone who lives in Colombia knows that the interest rate in a bank loan is insane. I mean, it could be good for someone but not for me. I would not like to pay a house almost 3 times. Right now, I've got some ideas to invest in Colombia. You can get a seller financing and make good deals. We have a different useful market, and I think, we can start almost with no money.
If you are from Colombia, You know some rules are different from the USA's market. I would like to read about your personal experience of investing in Colombia. I am new in all of that but Coronavirus motivates me to apply everything I have read, learnt, watched and talked. I would like to read some experiences about how you all started. It would be interesting.
