@John Underwood Thanks for that insight, I went and read a little more about that because I figured the liability would get passed on to the renter but it is very finnicky and seems to be case by case. Is there any way that this risk could be passed solely onto them to make it worth it through insurance or contracts? I guess at the end of the day though, if the vehicle has a malfunction and is the ultimate cause of an accident, that would always come back on me as the owner

Has anyone played around with providing a rental car at their str property for an extra fee? I recently got back from vacation and I feel like the rental car game paired with ubering around could be less of a hassle if this was provided as an option for guests. I would personally do it with a vehicle that is already paid off but I wanted to know if anyone has already tried this with any vehicle? Is this feasible as part of an addition to airbnb or vrbo?

@Nathan Gesner Definitely understand that. How has the search for off market properties been for you?

@Nathan Gesner Yeah that's what I'm hoping to read, honestly. Gives a little insight to all of the different goals individuals have and I hope it's an interesting thread. Are you looking to find this storage in Wyoming somewhere?

I'm looking for all types of answers from people here so let me know what you would do! If you were given a $25,000 check tomorrow and you had no debts or anything else looming that you needed to pay for, what would you do with those funds? I understand 25k isn't necessarily a huge chunk but I'm curious the different angles some of you would go for.

Thanks for the comments. I'm hoping I will be able to raise the capital and see this through. Will try and keep BP updated along the way.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Nick Radloff, I recently graduated college and am currently living in Rochester MN. I don't have any properties due to being a broke college kid (I know that's not an excuse) but am looking to get started now. I've always been interested in storage units and just started a Project Management Job with a GC company that builds these. I'm not sure of all the routes I should look into for investors but I can self manage the project and have found commercial land potentially worth developing. If anyone has any advice on the next steps I should be taking, I'd greatly appreciate that.
