I am starting a real estate investment BOOK club. Much like a traditional book club, each month I'd like to have 6-7 of us take turns picking a real estate investment book to read and then meet up to discuss the book.

After listening to the BiggerPockets podcast, Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki seems to be the book that got everybody fired up about real estate investing. Should I recommend this as our first book to read although it seems to be more of a self-help finance book and may not necessarily discuss specific real estate investment strategies?

Or would it be better to start off with one of the BiggerPockets books like Brandon Turner's Book on Rental Property Investing or Anson Young's Finding and Funding Great Deals?

Would love to hear your recommendations for the first book we should read!
