Looking for Recommendations!

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for a reliable insurance agent or company that can help me get the right coverage for a property in Jersey City, NJ.

Someone who knows how to handle multifamily properties, provides great customer service before and after, familiar with Jersey City, NJ requirements.

If you’ve worked with someone you trust or know a company that’s been awesome for you, I’d really appreciate it if you could share their info or tag them here!

Thanks so much for your help. I know there’s a lot of knowledge in this community, and I’m looking forward to hearing your suggestions.

Management software does this for a reason. If the system automatically processed reports, they may get sent out before the manager has an opportunity to review for mistakes or make changes.

What problem, specifically, are you trying to solve? Are you a property manager who wants to save a little time? Are you an owner that's not receiving reports in a timely manner?

Owner, I have to manually download the reports from the portal, if they were automatically e-mailed, it would be easier.

Buildium won't send it automatically. The PM company has to generate these owner statements and emails them.

Thanks for confirming. Seems like a easy fix.

I was wondering if the PM company can change the settings in the Buildium portal so it sends out monthly owner statements automatically to the owners instead of the owner going in the portal and downloading it manually every month.

I spoke to Buildium customer service, they said, there is not a feature like that which I find amusing. Any inputs from Buildium users?

Hey @Nick Gupta, reach out to @Stanley J Black. He does a ton of business in NJ and TX and can help you out.

 Just sent him an e-mail.

Any Insurance brokers who can provide me a quote for landlord policy in New Jersey and TX?

Jared, Joe the Roofer based out of Freehold is whom I used for my rental in Jersey City. Expensive but totally worth it, did the job right the first time.

Tom, you can waive it but still have it done for your satisfaction. Is it a good idea? NO, but Jersey City is such a competitive market, over-bidding and less inventory, we buyers sometimes have to. There is always a way out if you find something that's going to cost you thousands.

Hey Chris,

Were you able to find someone? I am currently looking for one in JC as well.

Hello BP team!

I'm seeking a GOOD property manager as I begin my journey with my first rental unit in the Jersey City Heights.

Any referrals would be appreciated!

Seeking: Proactive when problems arise, cost conscious, reasonable fees, easy to work with, reliable.

Thanks to everyone in advance!
