Quote from @Kim Tucker:

MAREI's still here, we meet at the Double Tree on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 6 to 9 and we have a meeting after the meeting.

1st Meeting is FREE.

We have generally 100 in attendance.

Come out and check it out, join our community - we did have several from St Joe at the meeting last month.  We have several who drive up from the Joplin Area.

Definitely worth your time.

Next meeting is February 11th, 2025

MAREI is a great group to connect with in the KC area! My business partner Chris and Myself make the trip each month to connect. We also lead a Joplin Area REIA on the First Tuesday of each month at Old Chicago/La Quinta and a Springfield Mo REIA on the first Thursday of each month at the Relics event center. We would love to connect. Feel free to reach out!

 Hi Jordyn,

Since you are in MO, do you know anything about the Joplin, MO market? Thanks.

I would suggest speaking to people in the areas you want to invest. I’m in the Joplin area and could connect you with some great folks.

I know this is an old post. I pay for content that seems to suit my goals and that I feel will propel me to the next level. That being said, I met Chris at a mastermind event that a group I pay to be in monthly put on. He had an energy that was inspiring, and is an expert in areas I want to pursue. I picked his brain and hung out with him for the 3 day mastermind I was at. My partner and I ponied up the dough for a day with him on the way back from our mastermind, and he didn’t disappoint. He invited us into his home, took us to some of his current portfolio projects, broke down the advantages and disadvantages of the projects, took us with him to a walk a prospective deal, and so much more. His wife cooked us dinner and we ate at the table with his family. He added so much value to us on a super short notice. I can only hope to reciprocate that kind of value back to him and his family. We will probably continue with his coaching for the next year and attend a few of his events as we dive into mobile home parks, waterfront AirBNB’s, and land development. It was great content, and he definitely gave us the tools to level up, if we are up to the task to follow suit and implement what he’s taught.

If you’re reading this and want to binge content and over analyze without action… don’t waste your time and money on courses. If you’re goal oriented and motivated to put what you learn into action, courses are a great way to get ahead of the curve. Find someone in the space you’re interested in who is driven and has the results to back up their claim to fame. There are a lot of posers out there selling a concept that they aren’t actively dominating. Do your research and and find the right fit for you. A year ago, Chris Rood’s coaching wouldn’t have been a fit for me. I left Saturday for a Mastermind/fishing trip and finished the trip off l with a day with Chris on Wednesday. We should have deals under contract (inspired by the content of the week) that will more than pay for course expenses before the weekend is up. Absolutely go out and make investments, but don’t forget to invest in your greatest asset… yourself. Level up!

They are being conservative since the deal is speculative. If you're confident in your model move forward. If you aren't, pivot to a proven model. I know a few guys in Joplin area building long term rentals and buying new construction long term rentals. It's doable. Joplin REIA is tonight at Old Chicago. Come network and learn how to control costs to make the deal work.

@Robert Wilson - pretty much short term only. I do well on long term rentals in my own market.

Quote from @Michael Hamby:

I would suggest you go to the Professional Investors Guild Meetup. There is a meeting tomorrow at 7 in Pensacola At Marcus Point Baptist church. It is seminar format. I also help host Pints and Proeprties with Caleb Drake that meets at Gulf Coast Brewery on June 26th from 1-2. There is a 10 minute presentation then it is more networking focused.  @Caleb Drake

I’m not in the area. Just looking to talk with a few investors from the area to familiarize myself with it. I’ll be there for a few days later this month.
