Hi, I'm starting my real estate investment specializing in purchasing, renovating and renting residential low rise units with a flips to compliment. I'm looking for a GTA/Toronto based real estate lawyer that is experienced to help build partnership contracts and make sure my business is set up properly. Who do you use and recommend? Thanks, Nick

All the window dressing, eye candy in the world will not make you a success in investing in real estate!

After 18yrs of buy&hold, I didn't need 10 minutes of a web presence, but now reaping 68,400 gsi from my 6-units.

I'm a web professional and adding that is trivial, but consumes time & effort better spent learning what NOT TO DO!

You make a really great point Jeff Beard. I actually not really know if I need it, at this point at least, and, while what I am doing to build this business is all word of mouth right now.

With respect to those other suggests, I am still not sold on them. I am pretty well rounded with creating my own, yet again, I was hoping for suggestions that might not have been so "turn-key" so to speak.

That being said, if it's not bringing me money right away then it would be more of a support role. It looks like I need to think about that side of the business a little more. For now it's time to focus on my first property.

Thank you everyone for this valuable advise and for encouraging me to think about how a website would be used specifically.

Oh Geez, For some reason my notifications are off on my phone (or I expected reply to be buzzing to my phone). Anyways, than you all so much for the advise. I need to sift though it all and I will over the next day and share what I find works for me.

Thank you all again!

I've been working and investing in the GTA Real Estate market for more than 15 years, and finding distressed properties is very difficult (not impossible, but very, very time intensive).

Power of sale properties are not often bought a much lower prices than non-power of sale properties, since the lenders usually put them on MLS, or list them publicly, since they have a legal obligation to get as much as possible for them.

Happy to chat more about GTA Real Estate any time.

Hi Claude,

Thanks for responding so quickly. What you're saying makes sense, yet, I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. There are many distressed properties out there and I find them not that difficult to find actually, whether it is in Toronto or within a 2 hour radius of the city, yet that may be because of my experience and contacts in the industry myself.

Thanks again for confirming what I thought and being another contact.
