Thanks for the post, Zac, and appreciate the thorough response, Abel. I'm in a similar position (RE: seeking to house hack a multifamily property in Houston -- first time real estate investor here), and think you asked all the right questions. Best of luck with your house hack, Zac, and would love to connect.

Quote from @Travis Timmons:

Hey @John Stenger those are worthy, and I believe attainable goals. I have nothing to sell and would love to be a resource if you think that I can be helpful. Our experience is in buying older fixers to convert/buy and hold to short and medium term rentals. We've done 1 live in fix and flip as well.

Same goes for you @Nick Bufalino

The hardest part is getting started...once the snowball starts to roll downhill a bit, it gets easier.

Thanks Travis -- would love to connect and will shoot you a DM.

I missed it by one day -- what a shame! I'm an aspiring Houston-based real estate investor and would love to join for the next one in September and introduce myself. Thanks!

Hi John -- I'm also a new member based in Houston (Montrose). I have a lot of interest in the Katy area as well and hope to make my first real estate property investment in the next year, but I am most interested in connecting with other real estate investors (both new and established) to build out my network.

To John and others on this thread, I'd love to connect in person to introduce myself and make touchpoints in the local real estate community (investors, lenders, agents, and otherwise). Please shoot me a DM if interested in meeting up.

Best of luck on your real estate journey and I hope to hear from you!
