@Steven DAmbra that’s awesome you’ve done one flip so far? Are you going to continue flipping or are you looking to try other strategies?

I work down in Brockton right now so I know the Bridgewater area well, but my wife is up in Medfield so we are looking within 30 minutes of her job since I can work from home a few days a week if needed.

As for North Attleboro and Attleboro, they are definitely on our radar we have a list of about 12-15 cities/towns in the area that we are interested in exploring.

We are looking to get pre-approved for a loan. Do you have any recommendations our banks/lenders you have used in the area before?

Hey @Brendan Murphy welcome to BP! I am also new to real estate investing myself. My wife and I are beginning to look for a house back more on the outskirts of Boston (30-45 minutes west/south west of the city). I first became interested in real estate through my wife’s parents and grandparents who both own multi-family properties out in western Massachusetts. Similar to you, I began learning more through books and podcasts. Not sure if you checked out Craig Curelop’s House Hacking, but I highly recommend giving it a read or listen. While I am still learning myself, I would love to connect with you to help us learn more from each along our real estate investing journey.

Hey @John Silva thanks for reaching out it’s very nice to meet a fellow investor from Massachusetts! The areas I have started looking range from like Framingham, Sharon, Franklin, Medfield, Westwood, Norton, Foxboro, etc. basically looking at all towns in a 25/30 minute radius from my wife’s work which is in Medfield. I definitely want to reach out to real estate agents in the area for some help. Do you have an recommendations of real estate agents you have worked with in the past?

My interest in real estate stems from reading Craig Curelop's The House Hacking Strategy: How to Use Your Home to Achieve Financial Freedom; ever since reading this book, I have been learning in preparation to purchase my wife and I's first investment property a 2-4 unit small multiplex (in Massachusetts driving distance from my wife's work in Medfield) which will allow us to implement Craig's house hacking strategy, and begin to scale our real estate business toward financial freedom. Aside from real estate, I am a marketing data analyst leveraging SQL, excel, and powerbi to provide data insights in my job on a daily basis; an avid traveler; a CrossFit junkie; a loyal sports fan; and a loving husband. I look forward to jumping into the forums to learn from all of you, and to provide insights and inputs of my own along the way! Does anyone know of good areas to buy 2-4 unit multiplexes near Medfield, Massachusetts?
