@Jason D., this is my first rental property and placement of a tenant, just need to dip the feet in first before I splash in.

Hello my name is nick and am finding tenants for the first time. My property is located in Grand Rapids, MI. My question is, do I have to accept section 8. If not how do I say no?

Thanks for the help,

Nick

Hello,

I have just purchased my first duplex and been going through the place and noticed that the lower unit is paying for communal electricity (Washer/Dryer, outside lights and anything plugged in the basement).

My question(s) is, what is seen as the best way to separate the usage? Do you spend the money on a house meter, get a sub meter installed? What have other people done?

Thanks for the help!
