Just trying to connect with more real estate investors in my area, to digest more information and find more mentors out there. Particularly looking for investors in the Richland, Pasco, and Kennewick Washington Area.

So I have a question in regards to starting to dive into real estate investing. I was wondering if anyone has worked backwards in real estate investing where they get their partner a house that they sort of want, and then dive into house hacking, and it actually end up working/scaling their portfolio rather quickly? That way the lady is happy. I know house hacking is the way to go to scale rather quickly and would much prefer to do that first, but want to hear other perspective/thoughts on the matter.
