I worked with rpm Midwest in 2010.  They were a nightmare for me.  But maybe they are better now.

Thanks Richard.  I will check with the local assessor as well.  I already have a P O Box so that is convenient.

I don't feel threatened or stalked, but I would like to keep my personal residence private.  I am in the military and have to be away from home at times.  Of course I'm concerned about my family's safety if I have to be away.      I will look into the land trust option.  Does anyone have any other options to consider?  Thanks.

Is there a way that I can structure my business and personal finances so that my tenants can't find out where I live?  During a recent negotiation with a tenant, the tenant made mention that he looked up on the auditor's website and he said he knows where I live.  If felt it was harassing at least.

For example, could I somehow put my primary residence into some type of LLC so that my name is not attached to it?

thanks.  It has worked great for me.  I wonder why more people don't do it.

Does anyone see any issues with tenants paying rent by making a deposit into my checking account at any of my local bank branches? I having been doing it for years with no issues, but I wonder if it is not a good idea to give out my checking account number to tenants.  I figure that we give out our checking account number anytime we write a check.
