Thank you all for the feedback. It is great to read different viewpoints on managing STR's which will ultimately guide me in my decision.

Great information. Looking forward to my visit in a couple weeks as we continue our research for an STR in the area. @Adrian Moreno might need some food recommendations! 

As I work towards my first STR I have spent some good time on researching the management side. I'm wondering if if anyone has had experience with Evolve? I had a 30 min conversation with them and they appear to be a solid consideration. 10% management cost, including the booking sites 3%. What I gather is that they are a software company that coordinates a lot of the systems (booking, dynamic pricing, communication with your boots on the ground, etc.) While I do have time to self manage one or two STR's I would prefer to set up a nice cruise control system. My main concern is the customer interface as I feel a personal touch is more preferred than working with a company. Thanks!

Hello all! I stumbled upon the BP site as I have been researching STR's. Currently, I own and operate a successful restaurant & brewing company in the PNW. As I look at long term planning I want to diversify my investments outside of my current industry and the NW. Currently I own two commercial buildings and one LTR. My first strategy is to invest 200-300k in STR's, ideally in the SW.

This site is amazing with tons of information.  I look forward to growing my real estate investing knowlege and connecting with BP members.
