Hi @Jason Hirko,

This is a job interview to join their team, I would receive training and coaching while making investments with them. Sorry my posts are kind of all over the place, each week I feel like there are new opportunities approaching me and I look to BP to help me along the path. A lot of people on here are very helpful and don't just blow smoke so I am very appreciative of any input. The last phone call I had with him was about how I source money for deals I want to make. He seemed to be very interested in that topic. I told him I speak to a lot of investors and private money lenders also that I will be going for my agent license soon so I will have access to MLS and other sites to search and find deals.

Hello BP!

My name is Nick, I have a meeting with an investor team next week in NYC, I have noted to them that I do not have any actual experience yet with investing yet. I interviewed with one of the investors on the team twice already and he stated that he likes my drive and my continuously growing knowledge of real estate (I'm always reading and educating myself through bigger pockets, which has helped me so much) He told me to meet in NYC next week and see what I bring to the table. What are some good focus points I can talk about to essentially sell myself better? I'd really love to land this job opportunity and start living a life we all deserve to live and yes I could start doing this myself but I would like to learn under an established group of investors and maybe grow to eventually have my own business. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Sincerely

Nicholas Generelli

Hello BP,

I'm apologizing in advance is this thread has been done before but I am still quite new to the site. I am a chef looking to switch careers to my next passion, real estate. Though I am still currently a chef, I would like to start wholesaling while I transition out of the kitchen. I have some super basic questions but it is sometimes the basic questions that are often overlooked. How do I get started? I would like to build a lender and a Investor sheet where I can contact when I have found a deal. Do you appraise the houses (I'm looking to start with single family properties first) yourself? Do you have someone go with you? Do you search online for what houses around it are going for, decide an ARV and then go to a private money or hard money lender? Ive heard of people only putting a downpayment of around 5k just to hold the house, can I do that? I would appreciate anyones input on this! Maybe that way I can have a more complete knowledge and finally get started! If anyone is reading this and would like to maybe do business in the near fate please message me and I would gladly add you to a list for myself to use. Thank you so much in advance!

Sincerely,

The Newbie From Nutley,

Nick Generelli

@Dave Visaya thank you for welcoming me in! I'm still learning the ins and outs of the site but already after one day of use it has provided tons of information more then I've got in the workshops I've attended!

Hello everyone on BP! My name is Nick and I am a new member to both the site and real estate investing. I would greatly appreciate anyone's knowledge they have in the industry as I am always looking to grow and expand. I have done a lot of research and taken workshops (fortune builders) which have been both education and vague at times. I am expanding my knowledge about this industry with each passing day but am looking to start meeting people who I can pick their brains and maybe one day help me out with lending and investing. I would really just like to ask how everyone got started? Where did you find the best means of capital to make your deals. Did you start with wholesaling or go right into rehabbing? I would love to hear from anyone and everyone! Let's become contacts! Have a great day,

sincerely nick

Can someone with no experience yet but wanting to grow and network in this industry attend?
