@Sarah Larbi I actually purchased a condo by sq1, it was purchased at a 20% discount and the current tenants cover the costs so therefore I am just building equity. As this was my first venture into REI, I decided to reduce my risk by having quality tenants and a very nice building. My plan is to eventually move into that Condo once I have a few more investment properties.

HI BP,

I am interested in hearing the success stories of various Canadians. I started my REI education a year ago and decided this is going to be a passion. I purchased my first property this May achieving my 1 year goal. Now that It is year 2 I want to purchase a second property. I am hoping to hear of any success stories in regards to wholesaling in Canada, virtually in USA, investing in USA/Canada and also anyone who left Canada to live somewhere warmer and does real estate full time.

Cheers,

Neil

Good Day BP,

I'm interested to hear what Canadian investors have to say about rental properties in USA. How complicated was the process for you to get a mortgage? Were there any things you wish you knew before? If yu have any tips id love to hear. I have a year goal to purchase my first property. Would like more information so I can create a plan of attack.

Thanks,

N

Hi all,

I just wanted to introduce myself to the community and give a little introduction. I am 27 years old, just finished my exams to become a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada. I have been so focused in completing that I put alot of active investing on hold. I currently have 1 property that breaks even in mississauga, ontario. I purchased it at a discount of 15% and it has since increased 10% when i closed. I am more interested in Cash flow opportunities and would like to invest in USA for that reason. I was looking into Ohio, Pennsylvania, upstate New York. Would love to connect with any and everyone. I have a great background in ROI calculations, B/E analysis, Situational analysis and cash flow forecasting. If anyone has any advice for a Canadian investing in USA, id love to hear it. I am interested in homes less then 50k.

Neil
