Post: Ask for Proof of Funds before sharing lock box code?

I am selling a fire damaged rental property out of state from where I live, with the goal of selling to an end buyer (not a wholesaler), it's my first time selling a property. From where I posted it I'm getting numerous requests for the lock box code to take a look from investors I don't have a relationship with.

Should I ask for POF before sharing the lock box code? Any drawbacks to that? I know people need to walk it, but trying to avoid a bunch of tire kickers. Thanks
