Post: Property Search Websites

Hi,

I am looking for recommendations on websites or apps to help find deals for the rental properties. Curious what tools people are using to find and analyze rental investment deals? I have found dealcheck is useful to generate property analysis, but it requires me to narrow down the potential list of properties before I can enter the data into dealcheck to analyze the property rental opportunity.

Thanks

Neeraj

All the best with your search!

Hi @Christina Hall -

I am in similar boat as you were when you got started. I am looking at buying my first STR and curious to learn from your experience on what areas to buy and whether self management is even an option given that I live in OC. Appreciate your inputs.

 Thanks

Hi Klint,

I am also looking at STR options to invest in Big Bear. I wanted to learn about your experience managing STR in Big Bear and what are the opportunities and challenges of STR in Big Bear for first time investor. Is it ok, if I send you a connection request to connect and ask some of these questions.

Thanks

I am a specialist in Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead. Yes, the competition is stiff. Yes, we require in person face-to-face check ins. Yes, you need someone local to help you manage (PM or an individual). But at the end of the day, demand is at an all time high. Our commission is less than 20% for full service and we have connections (housekeepers, handyman, vendors, contractors, etc) that is worth gold! My advice is to buy in the mountains if you love snow and four seasons, this is not a place to invest and expect high ROI. Those days are gone. But you will make some money, cover your expenses, and own a great vacation rental! The permits are not as scary as people think as long as you do your research first. Good luck!!

Hi Jennifer, I am looking at Big Bear Lake STR. I live in Orange County and wondering about the property management fees to manage STR. Are there hybrid options available that lowers my property management cost. You and few other folks also mentioned the permits, are those only for cases where you are trying to build new cabins or are those also required for existing cabins/homes that are for resale?

Also do you have any advice on finding the cash flow value of a potential property that I am considering?

Thanks
Neeraj

Hi Anna

I am also exploring STR in Big Bear. I am curious to learn more about your experience and how you are managing it. I have sent you a connection request, perhaps we can chat over PM and I will appreciate your help.

Hi @susan, I am also trying to find information about managing AirBnb property at Big Bear and whether it is a good investment option to buy a investment  rental property at Big Bear.

I have sent you a PM with few specific questions. I will appreciate if you could accept my connection request to answer some questions.

Thanks
