Hello!! My husband and I have a couple of rentals in California we manage ourselves. I'm looking to network and share forms/advice. Bouncing a few ideas here

- Small zoom networking event to meet online

- Sharing documents/ knowledge. I'm also looking for a lawyer with California license to review a lease. Let me know if you know of someone. Also let me know if you are interested in sharing the cost of fees and forms

Reach out if you would like to network. Thank you!!!

If you can refer us to a lawyer, preferably in CA please let us know.  If you are a lawyer, let us know your quote.

We need to draft a letter, as soon as possible.  As sellers, we need to cancel escrow.  We've send a few letters back and forth with buyers and need to complete the cancellation.  Thank you

Thank you everyone for your input.  Does being an active member of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (“FEA”) mean greater reliability for a 1031 exchange?

We are completing a 1031 exchange. First property in CA, 2nd in Houston, TX.

Some friends say they have completed 1031 exchanges on their own and all you need is 'keep a paper trail of transactions'.

However, given the state change and also that we may be doing a construction exchange, I would think it is a better step to use a specialized service.  Do you agree?  And is it really that 'simple', if it's in the same state and a pretty straightforward exchange?

Additional question, is it better to find a company in TX or in CA to help with the process?

TIA!
