Thanks to everyone for the valuable information. So if any of you can give advice to your 22 year old self that wanted to invest passively  or work towards that what would you say? Is it stocks, bonds? crowdfunding? or simply start saving cold cash until I hit a dollar amount figure. Thanks for any input, it is very helpful.

Syndication is huge right now for various reasons. I want to invest on the passive side of real estate. Is there a average minimum to buy in usually for a deal or does it vary deal to deal? Thank you for any feedback.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Nathan Payonk I am a 22 year old that just graduated college and teaching South Korea. Looking for general advice on where to start and how to start investing while living overseas. I've been listening to the Millennial Real Estate podcast and I realized the quicker I start the better. Any advice is a huge help because I have been having a tough time finding information. Thank you.

 What's your goal?

What part of the country?

Do you have an amount in mind to start with?

DO you have family here?

Northwest Indiana and 5,000 would be ideal and yes most of my family lives there. my main goal is to have real estate primarily for passive income and side money. Looking to keep my full time W2 job for a long time.

It's good to invest in an city where you have family. For passive investing you might want to learn Lending (also called "Notes"), Hard Money Lending, Joint Ventures (where you are the money guy), or buying into a Syndication (which is a group of people joining together to buy an apartment building)

Thank you for the advice. I will definitely start getting more knowledge in the areas of notes and lending in general

Hello BP, I am 22 currently living in Busan South Korea. I am from Hammond Indiana and all of my family lives in the region. I am looking to buy a property with my brothers in the next 6 months-1 year. Is it possible to get a FHA 3.5 down loan with my brothers as long as one of us lives in the property for the year? Looking to get start in collecting properties and I figured this may be the best way but not sure if it's possible. Any feedback would be appreciated and I look forward to getting involved in this community.

I've actually found some of the information, just took some digging. Thank you!
