Cut back my hours on my day job, in part to focus on managing and growing our real estate business.

Travelled to Columbus for a couple of weeks to get a better handle on the city for our out-of-state investments, working on meeting some people we've only met through email and expanding our network a bit.

Watched listings like a hawk, trying to find deals that work. Put in offers on some bigger properties, but nothing has quite worked out.

Changed PMs.

Looking at other strategies on how we can keep growing.

@Juan V Lopez

I could get into the anecdotal data of how our triplex allows us to afford more home than we could ever afford to rent in a VHCOL city. But at a very basic level, aren't all of us here banking on the fact that it costs more to rent than to own? If the mortgage cost for any of our investment properties is more than rents for that area, we don't buy it.

I found "The 10X Rule" a good read, as a way to start thinking big with my goals.

Out-of-state investor in Columbus. Cost of entry was great a couple of years ago, but of course prices are exploding like everywhere else, it seems. When we were looking at possible markets, it seemed to have a lot of downtown redevelopment, specifically targeting a young, hip crowd. Combined with a range of employment, and a city that has ways to attract a wide range of people there seemed a lot going for it. We've even considered relocating there.

We are investors in NY, looking to add a few investment properties to our portfolio in Ohio this year. Does anyone here have any experience if Series LLCs are recognized in Ohio?
