Hey Everyone,

I'm looking for local mentors to help guide me and teach me the right steps in real estate investing local to Harford County, Maryland.

I'm brand new to real estate investing having no experience. I know i want to start investing in Multi-Family and Apartment Complexes to start creating passive income. I been on BP for a couple months gaining some basic knowledge along with reading books and listening to audiobooks about real estate investing. But I want to get some real first hand knowledge from someone who's already investing right next door! Maybe see what kind of deal(s) they've done or are doing right now? I wish there was a step by step guide on real estate investing as far as getting a team together, find the right deal, closing the right deal.

@Eric Anderson

Yes, i meant flipping, sorry about that. And what are some good ways to learn more about the towns economic growth? Thanks for your input!

My partner and I want to start investing in multi-family homes. We were looking to buy and sell, and possibly rent them out. He seems to be very confident in knowing how to close deals with them. I'm just not as experienced due to me being new to real estate investing. He mentioned looking in York, Pa and Hanover, Pa. How do i find out if the market there is good and going to grow in the future?

@Chris Tracy @Andrew Campbell Thank you for your information! I have a friend who got into the real estate investing with his father and he's going to start doing apartment deals by next spring. would you recommend linking up with him and joining him and his team if he allows me too?

Hey Everyone,

I'm new to BP and Real Estate Investing, but i know i want to get into Multi-Family and Apartment Investing. What would you recommend? I am currently reading the book "ABCs to Real Estate Investing" and i've learn some good information so far. But i wanted to get feedback from people who are already doing it. How did you approach your first deal? Would you recommend getting into flipping single family homes first before you get into multi-family or apartments? This was suggested from a friend.

thanks everyone for your advice! April Crossley, thank you especially for that. I want to focus my attention and efforts towards rental properties for future investments and passive income from various rental property deals i would aquire. I been listening to podcasts here on BP, along with watching youtube videos from credible sources, and reading books about real estate investment such as "The ABC's of Real Estate Investing". I just started reading the book and its awesome! I hope soon to find my first deal!

Hi everyone!

My name is Nathan Weber, and i am an aspiring real estate investor with no knowledge or background in real estate. I thought about the idea of investing in real estate, but i never really got into it. I just started doing some serious learning and educating myself in real estate investing. But, like i said before,  I'm new at this type of business and dont really know where to begin.

My goal is to take real estate investing to my dream of financial freedom! I want to be able to be able to do things i want to do and have the things i want to have without having to wait 40 years down the road during retirement. However, in my current situation, i'm a little skeptical about taking on real estate investing. i currently work full time, a part time student, i dont really have a lot of cash saved up, and again i have little to no experience with real estate. Can anyone help me or lend some advice on how i can get started with my first deal? My idea of a plan to start out was to buy and flip homes to build up some cash or buy multiplex homes to rent out to start bringing in cash flow to eventually buy better deals. Ultimately, i want to own apartment complexes and have them work for me to my goal to success.

Again, can anyone lend a hand to newbie like me who doesn't really know where or how to start investing? Thanks!
