@Ryan Herting

Thanks for the reply! This will not be a high end property. It's your typical 3 bed, two bath, two car garage, 1700 square foot home. So I would say this will be an average property. The houses in my area rent from 1100 to 1300/month. I'm trying to add all of the right renovations to maximize my top dollar on renting it out.

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to figure out what type of cabinets to install in my kitchen. Should I go particle board, prefabricated or the nicer, more expensive plywood cabinets. I'm looking for functionality and cost benefit with these cabinets. I would like something that will last through abuse considering it's a rental property. All advice is welcome!

@Debbie C.

There wasn't enough information on those sites for my area. Only one house is listed for sale and no houses are for rent. I live in an area where rentals go quickly and houses sell quickly. I'd say I live in a middle class neighborhood that butts up to a upper middle neighborhood.

@Jim K.

I don't understand why so many questions are asked when I'm simply asking for advice on the type of cabinets to be installed in my kitchen.

@Aigo Pyles I've been looking at those stores. I just wasn't sure if I should purchase the prefab particle board cabinets or the plywood cabinets for a rental property.

Hello everyone!

I just purchased my first home with 25k in equity. I was able to open up a HELOC for 19k and will be using it to remodel the house. The house needs a complete make over, this includes bathrooms, floors, and kitchen. My question is for the kitchen. What kind of cabinets should I invest in? Particle board prefabricated ones? or the more expensive plywood kind.
