@JD Martin thank you for the response! Just some tips on how to handle the turnover, maintenance, etc. I am a bit concerned about college students being the main tenants as there is no longevity in the students staying. I am also concerned about not filling a vacancy in the beginning of the semester in which I would think it’s harder to find a tenant.
Also I wonder your take on it being the first investment property that I will take on.
@Chris Gantz Thank you for your thoughtful response. I really appreciate the advice, and I will definitely reach out once I get a better feel for what exactly I am attempting to achieve. I will be graduating in May and moving to Milwaukee in June to start my new job, so I was looking to buy a property and gain experience with managing it. I do not have much experience but I am looking to expand my knowledge in any way possible and I'm very happy to connect!
@Will Gaston I appreciate you linking that thread. That is very helpful and I will be sure to re-read it as I continue along my journey. I have also just gotten in touch with a realtor in the area, so I will continue to look for someone more well-versed with investing in the local college areas. I'm very grateful for your time, thanks so much!
