Hey BiggerPockets,

What are everyone's thoughts on the recent mortgage rules being rolled out?

Some thoughts:

Are we headed for a market price "correction"?

If it is harder for the general population to get mortgages, is rental demand going to increase?

Would it be wise to hold off purchasing for a few months and see if a correction takes place and then buy some properties as they drop value?

What do you think BP?

Post: Windsor, ON and Insuring Properties with Knob and Tube

How are people dealing with insuring knob and tube properties? I am an investor in Windsor, ON and many of the homes are older and still have some remnants of knob and tube. Rewiring is obviously one solution, but does anyone have an insurance company that is willing to take it on? At least for a short period of time until the rewiring can be performed?

In the past I have always used Statefarm, but as of September 6th, they are no longer insuring knob and tube.

Also, if there are any other active Windsor locals/investors shoot me a message. It'd be great to network and meet some like minded people in the area.
