@Katina Stewart I recommend that you attend some of the sales with the list of properties to be sold and make a note of how much each property sells for. That would give you a good idea on how to bid next time. I'm still learning, so, I attended the one that was held today, just to observe and learn and I learned a lot. People came with a list of properties they were interested in (after doing their research) and bid when those properties were called. Many of the properties sold at the opening bid (because there were no bidding wars) and some were higher, depending on the number of folks interested in them. Go look and learn, make some contacts with folks there, and you'll get some good ideas on how much to bid. Know the max you're willing to pay for the property and get out of the bidding war (if any) when you reach your limit. I hope this helps.

Hello, Ben and Gregg. Thanks a lot for your input/feedback. He was invited by a local REIA. Do you think that makes a difference? I definitely don't plan on buying any packages. However, the cost of his all-day seminar is $99 with a discount for members of the REIA. It sounds enticing, but how much of these seminars can one keep paying for, right???

Hello, Fellow BiggerPocketeers (LOL)! I heard about an REI seminar by Ron Legrand in Saint Louis, MO this Saturday. I'm trying to decide if I should attend, but wanted to check to see if anyone of you have attended his seminar. If so, what do/did you think about it? Every input helps. Thanks.

I haven't had this problem. But, I'm signed up to attend their paid seminar next weekend. I hope I learn some value things there, especially being a newbie!

Hello. I am new to the Saint Louis, Missouri area and to real estate investing. I am interested in wholesaling, flipping, and buying and holding, and I'm looking forward to making great connections in or through the BP forum.
