@Courtney M.

I'm new to this so pros correct me if I'm wrong. It seems as if the first sentence is stating the "as/is" part of the agreement. Once you've had your inspector come in and say it's ok that's it! While the second half is letting you know, if within 5 days of closing, your inspector says it's a no, you have to submit a written cancellation to get your EMD. You may want to see if your agent can contact them to clarify that.

Great Job!! @John Upperman I especially like that you added the lessons you learned along the way. This is the area I am currently looking to get into, so it's great to learn along with others some of the challenges that can arise. The house looks great!! Did your partner help you to get the financing for repairs or did they help partially fund the project?

@Justin Pillion Thank you for your advice. I'm definitely open to the meet-up. It's probably one of the better ways for me to learn. Can you inbox me more info?

@Kumar Paj

Thank you for the reminder to be patient, and reassuring me that I have made the right choice in signing up with this site. I am so ready to get my feet wet, but I am not sure where to start. I'm researching different home repair loans, home loans, and what I can afford. Do you know anyone in the area who would be a good helping hand? Would you be willing to help me on where to start, and the language of real estate?

@Lucas Hammer

Thank you so much for this advice! Your 2 cents is worth a million bucks in my book right now! I can read a million books, and watch a thousand videos, but if there is no one to answer the questions I have, I'm lost. Have you found an investor willing to teach you the ropes? I will try to get in contact with a realtor and see if they can help me as well. Best wishes on your journey! I look forward to possibly teaming up in with you in the future, when we've mastered our place in the real estate industry!

I need knowledge of the industry and people that are willing to coach me, and point me in the right direction to successfully break into the real estate industry. Since joining BP I have taken the free course, browsed through different forums, and have even thought about getting the book. I'm thinking of taking a course at my local college, however, I don't know if that would be best. This is something I really want to do, but I still have no clue where to start!

I am looking to break into the real estate industry soon. I've been bitten by the knowledge bug since I've begun my journey to owning my first home. It seems like a lot of work, which I am willing to do. I heard about this site from a friend, and I am excited to learn all that I can. My goal is to invest for financial stability, and to have a legacy. I've signed up for a real estate course at my local college, but I'm wondering if that would be a good start. What books or courses are best? Are there any investors that are actually willing to coach you step by step?
