Hey My,

I am based in Northern Virginia. If you share where in VA you are specifically I am sure you will get better feedback and advise from those that live in that area. If you happen to be in Northern Virginia, I'd be happy to share my experiences. I own to single family homes in Springfield.

Hello.  Thank you for your input.

I am going to be in Richmond area. Where I will probably look at properties and deals. My first investment project/deal is in Roanoke southwest va area though. I am trying to rehab a house there. Flip it or make it a rental I am not sure yet.

thanks again

Hello folks!

I'm am the new member here. I always been intrigued  and fascinated about real estate since I was young. Though for my appearance i look like i am just 18  hard to believe i am in my 30s.  I am in currently in Virginia and would want to start investing or acquiring a property within a year time. There are so many questions regarding the how, where, why and what i could do with RE.

I am currently working on my parents house to help them sell it. ( ideally this would be the first RE project i am working on). Once i gain and learn some experience from that i can branch out to acquiring a multifam.  My goal is to get a duplex, triplex whichever multi i can find a good deal in.

Surprisingly i have an uncle that i recently found out who is in REI, though he only has one rental and is doing the buy and hold method. Which peak my interest in REI even more.

I appreciate any guidance and tips along the way.

Best regards.

Have your agent send you comps of the property if it were to sell as-is vs adding the extra bed and bath. With the comps, you should have a good idea of it's ARV. You should be able to see the price difference and determine if it's worth it based on what you will get in relation to what it will cost.

 Thank you.

Appreciate the information. Didnt even think of asking for ARV.

Hello I am a fresh into the real estate.  I am always fascinated with RE/  AND ALL THE POTIENTAL WAYS to make money. So this is my first project in it.  Any help and recommendation are greatly appreciated.

I am helping my parents sell their house. Its a tiny 800sft house that needs to renov, kitchen, floors, paint. etc. On paper it is a 2/1 but since we owe the house we have put in addition room downstairs therefore the house would be 3/2.  I was wondering if it worth it to put in the work and try to update the house or if its better to just sell the house "as is". They are not in a rush to sell but would like to have it sold at by end of next year. Another question is it possible or worth to pull equity out the house to renovate the house. The house is paid off in a good neighbor. Price estimates i check with zillow and redfin are around 120s to 200s. This is in the Roanoke Virginia area.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THEIR INPUT
