Greg,

I just found this article:  http://www.michaelsmithlaw.com/blog/2016/05/indian...

Which led me to this site:  https://iga.in.gov/legislative/2016/bills/house/13...

It appears that this LAST session Indiana joined the series LLC group of states. I'm certainly not a lawyer, but the abstract seems pretty clear. I will be trying very soon to change my LLC to series.

Is that your interpretation of the abstract?

Mark

Thanks all for the encouragement.  I'm actually in a unique position.  I can actually probably due without income from properties as a source of personal income for awhile.  I am really interseted in building equity that I can cash in at a later date.  That is why the wholesale to Hold is my primary hope.

Have read many of those links Shawn, but can't wait to look at the Tax advantages section.  Thanks, btw to all of the quick responses.  I'll be sure to hit a few of you up this summer when I am off.

Hello All,

My name is Mark Yount.  I have always had an interest in real estate investment, but I have never pulled the trigger.  I am a music teacher.  I love it, but the time commitment has made it difficult to do anything else.  (For anyone who did music in school, you probably know the crazy schedule I'm talking about.)  Recently, due to some health problems and other issues, it looks like I will need to change careers.  I think that real estate is the way I want to go.

I plan on using the next few months, and perhaps as much as a year to get myself going in real estate.  Not waiting that long to invest, but waiting that long to leave education and make real estate full time.  (I'm open to leaving sooner, but that is a difficult task to pull off in a summer I bet.)  I am interested in wholesaling, flipping, and buy and hold.  Preferably doing all three together.

I joined Bigger pockets after being a site reader for awhile.  I also joined as I saw it as a great way to connect with some people in my area already doing this work.  Being a teacher, I really value the input of people with experience.

I'm going to try to step outside of my comfort zone with this site.  I am normally a lurker.  I read a LOT.  But often I don't post much on a site until I can contribute real information or knowledge.  That will be awhile here, so I'll have to do something different.

I look forward to getting to know many of you.  (I follow some of you already.)  Hopefully, I can provide long term cash flow, and appreciation for me and my family.
