So minneapolis plans on building a rail line which will connect a lot of outer cities to down town.  Will this be a positive for real estate investors or a problem.  I'd like to hear your thoughts on the subject.  The project is predicted to be completed in 5 to 8 years I believe.

Inspirational. Great work. Can't wait to hear more in the future.

Hi my name is Munira

I live just 20 minutes outside downtown Minneapolis. I'm hoping to connect with an experienced real estate investor. I'd love to learn about how you first got started and what you wish you new when you were starting out. I would definitely like to treat you to your favorite restaurant and talk about our common passion.

Some info about me is I'm brand new to real estate investing. I have a few books I'm currently reading right now. I'm working on my business plan and I'm leaning towards rental property and maybe down the line flipping houses. I've always wanted to be a real estate investor but never thought it possible without a lot of finance.

I'm interested to get to know all about you and your background. Hopefully start a new friendship.

Thanks for your consideration and best of luck.

Hi @Nicole B.

Thank you for the great advice. I especially like the part on picking one way of investing in real estate and becoming an expert at it. I am learning everything I can right now and taking advantage of the bigger pockets website. There's so much information but for now Reading the books and listening to the podcasts is a good start I think.

I've been pre-approved for a loan of 150,000. I want to rent out my homes in the future. But for my very first house, I'm thinking of flipping. Flipping until I can make enough money to pay cash for my first rental property. I'm thinking this might be a good idea. Is this a good strategy for the first step?

So many great advice. I feel extremely lucky to have found bigger pockets.  I'm really excited and can't wait for the day where I can share my knowledge and experience as well. Thanks all for the welcome.

Hi, my name is Munira

I'm from Minneapolis Minnesota and I'm looking into learning all I can about real estate investments. I am very brand new to the game and for now I'm working on building up my knowledge on how to become a real estate investor.

I am an office manager at a senior center.  I'm in the process of changing careers into the medical industry.  I'm hoping to become a successful real estate investor in the next few years still with a full time job.  I don't mind working.  I feel this might be a great way to increase my income.

Any advice you can offer is welcomed.  Any books you suggest would be great. I promise to share whatever I learn in kind.

Thanks
