Post: Becoming a Notary as a side hustle to Increase Savings

Hi All,

I recently moved to Atlanta and I am planning on purchasing my first rental property in the Spring (A duplex to house hack). In order to increase my savings aside from my day job, I decided to become certified to be a Public notary to witness mortgage signings.

Does anybody have any recommendations on how to get steady business or know anybody who has gone down this route before and can give me a few pointers?

Thanks!

-Mason McCullough

Hey Guys!

I moved to Atlanta about a year ago and am looking to purchase my first rental home in the next few months so I can house hack it. What are some C+, B areas that I should look in? I am looking for a property that I can do some work on but that is also in a decent area that is growing.

Does anybody have any opinions on this?

Thanks Stan! So on a small duplex with lets say rental income of 2 grand, I can expect the management fee to be around 200-300 a month right?

Hey guys I am new to Atlanta and looking to buy a duplex in the next few months around the area. I was wondering what the average cost for property management is in Atlanta so I can factor it into my property analysis?

Let me know what you guys think and if you have any recommendations for me.

I am a young professional living in the Atlanta area looking to connect with like-minded individuals that share some of the same goals as me. I am an Accountant at a small company right now, but I am looking to expand my income by getting into Real Estate investing and multi-family properties. In the next year I am looking for buy a duplex/triplex in the Atlanta area in which I can live in one unit and rent out the other(s). Since I am new to the area, I am looking to partner with a Real Estate agent that has experience with first-time buyers of multi-family properties in the area. Any recommendations?
