Just curious. Is it possible to have both a FHA loan and a FHA 203k loan at the same time? Here is my scenario: I currently own a home which is financed through FHA first time buyer program. I recently found a property that needs repair which I plan to make my primary residence. Is it possible to finance the new property with FHA 203K while still keeping the first home?

Post: Reputable General Contractor in Baltimore

Hi All,

Could any investor in the Baltimore area recommend a reliable general contractor for a rehab job? Could also share your experience working with this GC? Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to purchase my first investment property in Baltimore and plan to use it for rental. I have already been pre appproved for a conventional homestlye loan and started looking for a property. Well here's the kicker: At first I wanted to buy a distressed property and do some rehab but there is a boatload of properties in Baltimore that have already been rehabbed and currently selling at a fairly reasonable price(80k-95k). My question is, does it make sense to buy an "already" rehabbed property or just rehab a distressed property with an after rehab value equal to the "already" rehabbed home?
