I'm new to investing but plan on getting far more involved this year. My lawyer is Bruce Brodkey. From Brodkey, Cuddigan, Peebles, Belmont & Line, LLP. He's very well versed in real estate law. so far I am very happy with them.

Welcome. I moved here from Los Angeles last year. Im a new investor and I’m currently flipping my first property in south Omaha. I am well versed in the craziness of the Cali market but would love to know why you guys chose Omaha. (I agree it is a great place).

I am in the Papillion area and recommend “ollie and Hobbes” if you’re  in this neighborhood.

Hi everyone.

After years of wanting to step into the scary world of real estate investing, I jumped in with both feet. I moved to Papillion from Los Angeles last year, got my license and just closed on my first flip home. Back in Cali, I had a reliable list of handymen/contractors that I have had great relationships with. Over here, it seems that I've been struggling with finding someone that is reliable and ready to go. Anybody have any recommendations?

thanks in advance everyone.

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone. I am  in the process of getting a flip property in Bellevue, near Omaha, and am looking for licensed and reliable contractors that I can get in touch with. If anyone has any long term contractors or even worked with a few who you'd hire again please send them this way. It's a small 3 bed 2 bath house and there is nothing in it that's worth saving so I really need someone that can visualize what this house can be for the area. I appreciate any help from my bigger pockets pals.

I recently used Air Force One carpet cleaner. we have 2 dogs and think they did a great job.

I know Larabee and Randall have online courses. I wanted to knock my classes out asap so I went to the Larabee full time in-class courses for a full two weeks (one week per month for 2 months). Randall had classes that were good for after work hours but were longer to complete because of that. I personally think you get more in class than you do online especially by talking to the instructors and being able to ask a lot of questions and hear about their experiences. Some of the people in the class I took actually started doing online courses but had a hard time focusing. However I know that everyone is different.

Another place that offers in class sessions as well as online is Mark Wehner's REESULTS coaching school of real estate. I believe he is actually cheaper (i.e cost effective) than both Larabee and Randall. I took his course for the exam prep and it was at the OABR. Had I known about him before I probably would have taken his classes.  Best of luck to you.

Bellevue has a huge military community. That is where we lived when my father got transferred to Offutt. Papillion is about 10 minutes away and nicer and more expensive but also has a large military population
