@Allison Leung thanks for opening this up for feedback. The content is great, extensive and varied. Accessing the content is the issue. As the largest REI online resource the app leaves much to be desired. Long load times, search returns produce results then when filtered by date return error messages. The solution cannot be to jump on a computer. We are increasingly mobile as a society and you have an app, just a poorly functioning one. The back end needs work though. Great ideas for improving content are of diminished value if it you can't find that content with a search warrant because the platform is substandard.

This might be a one-off but here goes: looking for folks experienced in taking on a partner who does not have capital to invest but can contribute local knowledge and more specifically, master level trade skills.

Here’s the scenario: I have family who are in the trades on Maui. They are very good at what they do but the cost of living in the islands makes owning a home for local Hawaiians more challenging then a lot of places. I want to look into a way to structured a partnership with one of my cousins to rehab and flip properties where they do the rehab and we split profits. The idea being if we could do a few properties together they could put together enough for a down payment on a house. This is part business opportunity but a larger part kuleana ohana.

I would love to connect with anyone who has significant experience taking on a partner who brings sweat equity to the deal. Appreciate cautionary stories about going into business with family but that’s not really what I am seek here.
