Hi Sloane, Great choice by your son to become a Gamecock. I graduated in 2010 and the most popular areas that students lived in were the Hollywood/Rose Hill area and Shandon. These two areas are right next to each other and are close to campus and Five Points. I know the city has become more developed since then and that there are some newer apartment complexes by the stadium that could also be a good choice.

I am just wondering about any success stories in the Northern VA area and what specific locations you think are the best. Would love to see some pics and numbers. Thanks!

What do people think about investing in Columbia, SC? Does anyone on here do it or familiar with the market? I know Columbia has made major improvements to the University of South Carolina and has added lots of brand new apartment complexes. When I look at properties for sale I see quite a few that I believe would make good investment properties as rentals to students.

I'm currently in the process of obtaining my Virginia real estate license and I am looking investors, fix and flippers, wholesalers or all of the above that might be willing to take on an intern or apprentice and show me the ropes.

I apologize in advance if this type of post isn't allowed.
