@Brian Hosier, that is exactly true for me also. My husband is retiring in 5 years and I plan to retire in 10 years. I am just starting to look at real estate now as I want a stream of passive income when we are both retired and be able to travel and do things that our 9-5 jobs never allowed us to do.
