Thanks for your response Erik!

To answer your first question - Currently my portfolio includes:

1 SFH turnkey in Memphis TN

1 SFH turnkey in Dallas TX

2 Opportunity Zone New Construction Duplexes in Fort Worth, TX

Regarding your second question - I am a Neurosurgeon in NJ with very little time to manage properties myself and have always gone down the property management route. I always look to hire it out but I keep myself educated to exactly what is going on at all times.

Third - I am surrounded my many people with capital but my goal if I was going down the JV route is to partner with someone far more knowledgeable and experienced than me/my friends. I would need my partners to be more hands on and I would be learning from them.

Hope that gives some clarity! Looking forward to advice.

Hi all!

I was initially thinking of buying upto 20 Multifamily units with financing for long term retirement buy and hold goal. Now I am wondering if the better idea would be to buy 100 Multifamily units with 3-4 joint venture partners for buy and hold. Can someone give me advice on the pros and cons of each and which one you would recommend I pursue? Plan is not to sell. Buy and hold.

Also anyone have recommendations for experienced Joint Venture partners?

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some advice on which Multifamily course to take.

My Goal- planning to purchase a 5-20 Unit property in TX, FL or AZ (NOT 50+ units). I will need to place this under property management as my current job does not allow me to actively manage any real estate. Looking to finance by myself without syndications for now. From a course I am looking to gain knowledge to identify, vet, purchase and place the 5-20 Unit property under management for stabilization.

The courses I’ve come across are Brad Sumrok’s course and Neal Bawas Bootcamp.   I am unsure which one fits my above stated goal. Can anyone help give me direction?

Thanks in advance for any insight or help.

Post: Real Estate LLC structure with Holding Company?

Hi all,

I currently have 4 properties.

One SFH in Memphis in a Memphis LLC

One SFH in Dallas in a Dallas LLC

Two Duplexes in Dallas in a NEW JERSEY LLC

Here are my questions if someone can help.

1. Does the LLC HAVE to be in the state where the property in located? i.e did I make a mistake placing the Dallas duplexes in a NJ LLC?

2. Do i just form a Wyoming or Delaware Holding company LLC and place the other 3 LLCs under it for maximum liability protection? Is that how its done - just making sure i'm doing this right. How are they slid under the Holding Comapany LLC (is there a question asked during the formation that allows the other 3 LLC's to be added under the Holding company?)

3. Wyoming or Delaware for the Holding Company LLC? I have a Medical LLC also that I may want to add under the Holding Company as well.

Thank you for any guidance!
