Hello,

I own 5 multi unit properties in Indianapolis with a total of 55 units.  I have been self managing them, but am ready to find a management company to handle all aspects of management and leasing.   Are there any recommendations from any Indiana investors?

Thank you!

Post: Using a HELOC to fund purchase of rental property

Hi there!

I have used my HELOC to both fully purchase a multi unit building and to also provide down payment money for 2 additional properties. As far as the lender who holds the HELOC, how you use the money is none of their business. Hawaii, college, braces...all your call because it is your money.

Using a HELOC provides fast funds and huge savings, as you are aware. My real estate tax accountant does deduct the interest off the properties, although I am not sure how it is categorized.

Good luck on your investment!

When giving deposit slips to tenants, is there any danger in them having both our routing number and checking account number?  There are SO many things one can pay with electronic check these days.  I have over 50 units and am trying to find a way to impeiment some kind of direct pay system.  I appreciate any comments.

Thanks!
