Hello,

A few family members and I are preparing to work on our first flip and we'd like to meet with a local real estate attorney to discuss how to structure the deal. The general idea is for a few people to put up the money (purchase + rehab) and then for me to manage finding the property, rehabbing and selling it. This initial project would be a test case to see how well it works out. If everything goes well, we might continue the arrangement so I'm thinking a JV is the way to go on this first property instead of something more permanent like a LLC. Still this will be my first flip and the first time using family money so we want to make sure everyone is covered and all the responsibilities are spelled out.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a Houston real estate attorney who could advise us and draw up the paperwork?
