Post: WY-TX Series LLC Naming Rule

I have a Parent LLC in WY called ABC LLC. I am creating the child XYZ LLC in Texas. Do I have to follow the naming rules: XYZ LLC series 1 of ABC? Does texas follow the naming rule or is flexible?

Can I use my own different name without using word series.

At the advice of my TX attorney here is how my LLC is organized. I have a parent TX LLC. Then underneath this parent LLC I have a separate TX series LLC owned by the parent. Within the series LLC each property goes into a new series. It costs nothing to create a new series and you can have as many as you need. The parent and series LLCs have separate EIN numbers and file separate tax returns. The cost to set up Series LLC was $300 state filing plus $250 attorneys fee. This structure provides multiple layers of legal protection.

@Pete Harper So if you have assets on a child LLC, the rent check comes on the name of child or parent LLC?

So this would be the model of structure:

Anonymous LLC in (WY NV NM)---> Series1,2..XX LLC in your State ----->Multiple Land Trust as needed,

Am I right

But, anybody can search properties with the name of land trust and see all properties. It would be same as searching with LLC name. Is it not? I guess one needs to create new land trusts for each?

Would not a LLC in your state and Parent LLC in WY/NV/NM will hide the name. What is reason for having land trust. What are the fees to make

I am from Houston,TX. House is in planned community

So how does money trail work for the purchase. Did you first deposit money into Wy LLC, then transfer to Holding LLC bank and then pay the escrow?

So what are consequences and issues which may pop up from the survey records? Does not the county have plot dimensions and boundaries?
