@Dan Barli thanks have searched without my luck. Hoping for a recommendation from the BP local community. Also seeking any advice especially regards to the insurance company’s antics of suing a policyholder that has been with them 10 years. Thanks in advance. Stan

Currently being sued for a frivolous lawsuit by ex-tenant and the suit was being handled by Insurance Company (top name) whom I have both Landlord's insurance and Umbrella insurance through. However Insurance company today served us (LLC) with a legal suit to get basically out of some parts of the tenant's lawsuit and including passing legal fees to us. In Michigan, near Brighton - looking for recommendations for an outstanding lawyer to help sort this out.

Looking to continue to expand RE Investments have led to a desire to find a really good Property Manager to take on managing them.   Thus, leaving more time on buying/rehabbing and less on self-managing etc.  Looking for recommendations in SE Michigan that have had positive experiences with Property Managers covering rentals Brighton and Howell?  Also what is typically for PM costs in this area?

As always many thanks to the BP!

Stan

@Steve Kehoe - Thank you very much for your book recommendation of Real Estate Private Equity: An Insider's Guide by Sean Cook", best I have seen that covers ground from an Investor's viewpoint vs. others books which are usually around how to set up a Syndication.

@Jeff Lubeski Thanks for the welcome Jeff.  Yes, I look forward to meeting you as well.  Which local meetups do you attend locally?

Hi All,

I have been lurking on BP (reading & listening) to more broadly increase my REI knowledge. I am very impressed by the willingness of members to share their REI experience and expertise. Thus - many thanks to the BP nation.

Quick intro - my wife and I own several SFH (buy and hold) for a few years now in Livingston County, Michigan (in and around Brighton). She is quite the fixer upper, me not so much and I have a FT sales career in the IT world.

Goals are to increase our RE portfolio beyond SFHs (scaling challenges) with investments into other types of more passive real estate options.

Thanks again for the wisdom on BP,

Stan
