Post: Best Partnership Structures?

I am looking to start an REI business (BRRRR) with my brother. For my part, I will be the initial seed money and overall business operations (finding financing, taxes, general bookkeeping). My brother is more the project manager for the renovations doing large portions of the work himself and manage the maintenance/projects/repairs after the units are rented. I am out-of-state, he would be the local boots on the ground.. also helping find deals.

I'd like to have a clean 50/50 structure. Does it make sense to create a multi-partner LLC now and buy the units under it? Or should I buy it on my own and move it into an LLC? Maybe not an LLC at all?

If anyone has some good sources to research this.. books... articles... I'd love your tips!
