@Doug McVinua - @Ryan Swan

It's great to have someone with so much experience in the Phoenix market. Below are some of the points I wanted to understand about the Phoenix market. Can you please make some brief comments,

  • Amongst Tempe, Mesa, Chandler and Scottsdale, how are they classified ? Which cities fall under A/B/C class ?
  • What is the main occupation for majority of the folk there ? Whats driving the rental market ? Does the occupation vary city by city ?
  • Is AZ/Phoenix landlord friendly or tenant friendly
  • Are there still properties  out there which can fit 1% rule .
  • Are there lot of multi family homes as compared to SFH ?

Hello investors, agents, fellow BP colleagues,

I've been listening to a lot of podcasts and following lot of BP forums. I'm from the Bay Area, California and have been wanting to invest in  Phoenix area. My sole aim to find a investment property with positive cash and appreciation over long term. I would love to talk to a real estate agent who has good insight and knows about the Phoenix market in depth. I have started looking at Tempe, Mesa , Chandler and Scottsdale.

I have heard property management companies are one of the best resources to examine the rental market. Thus any recommendation on property management companies are most welcomed.

Thanks.

@Alfredo Elias - What markets are you investing in ? I am looking to buy duplex as well but having a hard time zeroing on a city since I am unaware of market conditions or have just heard that it's a hot market.
