All the major building jurisdictions use IRC so you can call the building department I your area and see when they will implement IRC 2015.

On a side note, you should look at the Boulder area specifically, because you have a huge pool of ready tenants and all parts of the city are much more open to progressive (especially environmentally conscious) ideaa

Denver is currently adopting the 2015 international building codes, with the IRC included in it. Aurora will probably be next to adopt in the coming months.  wife and I are currently in the process of planning our tiny house build. Our plan is to buy a rental property (duplex) and put it in the backyard as an accessory dwelling.

Awesome, Bill! Nice return and minimum work. I like it.

Maybe hold off for a year or so. There is a big push for construction defects reform and if that goes through the legislature there will be a rush of affordable and entry level condos in the Denver area. Good luck.

Hello!

I tried searching for this, but I couldn't find what I was looking for. I'm currently looking for experienced real estate agents in the Denver Metro area for an ongoing investing relationship. I am hoping to narrow my search by reaching out on BP for agents that have, or are currently, investing themselves.

Does anyone have an agent that they would recommend for investment, specifically rental, properties?

Thanks,

Luke

My wife and I will be moving to Colorado soon from the DC area.  Hopefully we can make it to the next meet!
