I am looking for a good property management company in the Pleasant Hills area of Pittsburgh, PA. Also a trusted home inspector. I was given lead on a home in that area and the realtor did not know much about property management. I would be a remote owner and have some concerns about rents in that area.

I found a listing with the following disclaimer on Hudzu:

REO Occupied - the seller does not represent or guarantee occupancy status. NO VIEWINGS of this property. Please DO NOT DISTURB the occupant. "As is" cash only sale with no contingencies or inspections. Buyer will be responsible for obtaining possession of the property upon closing.

So I have no idea if the occupant has a lease or what the monthly rent is. I can not see the inside, but the outside looks like it is in fairly good shape. This make me nervous. Any advise from more experienced investors?

I have seen a difference between Zillow versus Realgor.com on the same address? For instance on Zillow I saw a property listed as an auction, lender owned for $136,000. But it is listed as $249,900 on Realtor.com with no comments about being lender owned. I have found this on a lot of other properties. What site do I trust?

I hope this is the right forum for this post.

I am new to real estate investing and got interested in it when I considered buying a home to rent and later occupy in Coeur d'Alene, ID. We were going to buy a house to rent until we moved there and occupy while we looked for a permanent home. Our realtor suggested that instead of paying cash for the home, that we finance half or more and buy two or more rental properties to generate an income stream and that idea sent me down the road of considering homes as an investment to generate a return. I really appreciate her input that got me going.  I am completely new to this and I am now considering a home or two in Parker/Elizabeth, CO area and a home or two in Coeur d'Alene, ID area.

I will be retired the end of October and I am now considering using my extra time to fix up houses to get an even better ROI than buying ready to rent properties.
