Does anyone one have any experience or thoughts investing in real estate outside of this country? Maybe a country were the American dollars goes further. I'm curious if anyone here as done any off shore investing.

Hey everyone,

I work at a local vocational school that teaches life skills, hs diploma, and a selected trade to help the future generations get the training they need and a job to start them in the right direction. I would love to bring a established investor to tell their story. My goals is to teach this students that there is a different way to make money then working a 9-5. I also want to ignite the entrepreneur fire inside some of these students.

I'm also in charge of developing work sites and internships. A good amount of students don't have much work experience so I find employers that are willing to take a student under there wing to work for them for free. This is a win win because the student gets much needed experience and the employer gets free labor!

Post on this discussion or private message me and I can give you more details.

Feel free to come check out my two Meetups that I hold monthly here in portland: "Cashflow in PDX" for real estate investing networking and I also have a Meetup called "take life by the horns" where people come together to talk about this exact topic!

Look forward to seeing you around Portland!

This "Take life by the horns" meet up sounds like my type of group.

Also are several books on bigger pockets that I'm going to buy starting with investing with little or no money down, rental properties, and tax tips. I can't remember the exact titles but im going to buy the investing one now, and buy the rest when I finish it in a few days. Reading and learning is my favorite hobby.

It took me an embarrassing amount of time to fit what I wanted to say in the subject line. Now on to the topic.

I'm going to get into REI with an FHA multifamily house hack. The major problem is I don't have money for a down payment. But I do have an entrepreneur uncle who is doing really well for himself. He has always pushed my brother I to start our own business and build a lagacy for our families. So I want to ask him for the down payment money to start my REI journey.

He is coming down to visit my family on the 22nd and I want to be prepared with a solid business plan. I believe BP has a ton of information and advice that information can use to make a good plan. My question is, what are some ways to phrase my plan so that he can see benifit and little to no risk for himself. Whats a good partner plan for someone paying around 6,000 down payment for around multifamily home? Any advice or opinions would be great.

Hello, my name is Mike and I'm from Portland Oregon. I currentlh work for a vocational school as a employment specailist. Ive been married for almost four years and i have a 7 month old son.

I'm a newbie who will become a real estate investor. While watching youtube videos on personal finance I stumbled on a video about using real estate it build wealth. And I've had real estate on my mind ever since.

Ita always been my dream to own several properties, but I thought I couldn't get to that level until I was in my 40s, I will be 29 on the 11th. Watching and reading several bigger pockets has taught me that there is always pathways to succeed and get what you want. Has anyone read the road not traveled by Robert Frost? It's a great poem about not doing what everyone is doing.

I can go on and on but I'm on my lunch break and need to head back to work. I want to start in wholesale and do that until my finances get better then I want to use and fha loan to get and multi family house. My plan is to build a rental business and retire off the cash flow. This month I plan on reading reading reading, and get active on the forums. Next month I will write a business plan, create a LLC and make sure my foundation is sound. In June Imy going to hussein and look for sellers and networking.

I look forward to talking to you guys in the forums!
