Hey Brandon!

I'm from up north and it is a great place to visit and thankfully for us live.  I too have kicked around the idea of buying a place to rent out.  One of the biggest things to consider is what else is there to do in the area?  People love the lakes but those who come up here for that want to rent mainly in June, July and August.  I just found that there are too many months where it is vacant and bills keep coming. 

If you start looking for a place talk with realtors who know of people or companies that clean and do maintenance in the area.  When people move in for their vacation there is a chance something is going to break or not work and they will want it fix.

By no means do I want to discourage you, just my observation. Although, if you are buying it for your family to use and if extra income is a bonus go for it!

We have a part-time bookkeeper who takes care of all the bills, collects rents etc.  We presently use Q Box which has been working well, although wondering if others have used something else and what their experience has been?

For us, it is important that each of us has access to the documents and be able to make changes to existing documents, quick books, and up load new documents.

Do any of you have good examples or past experience with online or cloud host locations.  I would also be interested in hearing about ones we should stay away from.
