Hey thanks Ko.  I started searching "market research" in the forums and found quite a few threads dating back many years.  Seems 1/3 never get a response but most did and mentioned a few of the sites you did.   I'll check out the other ones.   

I have the ability to screenscrape data from sites and compile it but would rather just buy it from someone who has already done it.  Thanks again.

"Readers are leaders and leaders are readers" is the quote I like and the advice I would give.  Find books and sites, like this, and just start reading them.  They'll tell you what to do.  In the meantime get a job and start learning from that and save some money.  

I've searched and cannot find a website that will show days on market and a rent amount (per sqft or beds/baths) and whether they are increasing/decreasing, etc...  Ideally, I could choose a few cities to compare.  Of course I will to pay for this service.  Does anyone know of such a site?

I live in Salem, OR. Would like to meet others, in person, to discuss buy and hold rentals in OK or TN. Or, I would be open to doing a discussion online if need be. I have two SFR's and ready to buy more.
